📋 Description

• Lead the design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of major systems and initiatives spanning multiple teams • Code and test system components • Lead code and design reviews and bring significant designs to technical committee review • Own code quality, system tests, functional tests, and integration for built systems and interfaces • Simplify significant, ambiguous problems using creativity and sound judgment • Collaborate with UX and product teams to build customer-focused solutions • Serve as a recognized technical authority and advise on difficult trade-off decisions across groups • Help shape company technical objectives and build formal networks across groups to align direction • Act independently on new and special assignments • Guide the work of others and mentor engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience building and operating scalable, customer-facing software systems • Technical leadership experience, including designing architecture, making complex trade-offs, and driving engineering decisions across teams • Experience designing and building reliable, scalable distributed systems, including web services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure • Proven ability to work through ambiguity, simplify complex problems, and deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced environments • Experience integrating third-party platforms and SaaS products through APIs, events, and webhooks • Experience with ecommerce or marketplace systems, such as catalog, checkout, payments, or order management, is a plus • Experience building high-performance customer experiences, including frontend performance optimization, is a plus • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis • Visa sponsorship is unavailable
