📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain governed data marts in Snowflake as the single source of truth for business reporting • Develop, publish, and maintain dashboards and reports in Sigma for business stakeholders • Reverse-engineer legacy SQL Server stored procedures, views, and queries and translate them into Snowflake models • Partner with business SMEs to capture reporting requirements and own delivery through the final report • Establish and document consistent business definitions and metric logic • Apply dimensional modeling and reusable semantic layers to create performant, maintainable, and scalable marts • Build with data governance, quality, and HIPAA-aligned handling for healthcare claims data • Contribute to reporting standards, naming conventions, and documentation supporting audit readiness • Consolidate scattered SME-built reporting into a governed Snowflake-and-Sigma reporting layer

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated senior-level experience as a BI Developer, Analytics Engineer, or equivalent, delivering production data marts and reporting • Strong SQL expertise, including the ability to read, decompose, and refactor complex legacy SQL Server code (stored procedures, views) • Hands-on experience building data models and marts in Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse with clear ability to transition • Proficiency building dashboards and reports in Sigma or a comparable modern BI tool with demonstrated ability to ramp quickly on Sigma • Solid grounding in dimensional/data modeling and semantic-layer design • Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into finished, self-explanatory reporting with minimal oversight • Experience in healthcare, healthcare claims, or another regulated data environment (HIPAA/PHI) preferred • Direct experience with SQL Server-to-Snowflake migrations preferred • Familiarity with dbt or similar transformation/orchestration tooling preferred • Experience establishing a BI/reporting function or standards where none previously existed preferred
