📋 Description

• Build and operate AI products addressing SNHU learning and operational problems • Work in small, embedded AI pods with SNHU teams that own the relevant problems • Build agent orchestration, tool use, memory, retrieval, and integrations connecting AI solutions to SNHU systems of record and data • Participate in architecture, prompt design, evaluation discussions, and Architectural Decision Records • Implement and operate solution-specific tests and evaluations • Maintain instrumentation for actionable offline and in-product signals • Work with agent and orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph/LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, and MCP • Surface delivery and technical risks, blockers, and ambiguities early • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code • Use AI development tools daily and share effective practices with the team • Pair with host-team engineers on AI-augmented development practices • Contribute to Agent Design Briefs, ADRs, Evaluation Scorecards, Deployment and Operations Runbooks, and retrospectives • Lift reusable work into shared AI Engineering assets, including prompt and skill libraries, evaluation templates, reference architectures, and practice handbook entries • Collaborate with the AI Analyst, Domain Product Owner, and Senior AI Engineer • Participate in discovery, shaping, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives • Partner with SNHU AI on governance, safety, evaluation, and adoption • Coordinate with IT on infrastructure, IAM, security review, and DevOps • Communicate progress, blockers, and resolutions to pod members and host-team partners

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years building and shipping production software at scale in one or more modern languages • Ability to become productive in Python quickly • Production experience in at least one major cloud: AWS, Azure, or GCP • Experience with serverless compute, object storage, and NoSQL • Hands-on work with LLMs, including orchestration, prompts, and basic evaluation, in production or through substantial hands-on exploration • Curiosity about and active learning in agentic frameworks such as LangGraph/LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, and MCP • Working understanding of LLM evaluation, including running evals, interpreting results, and identifying outputs requiring checking • Comfort with cloud-native development workflows, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code concepts • Experience with a relational database such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle • Active daily use of AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and GitHub Copilot • Evidence of improving how AI development tools are used • Experience working in teams or Agile delivery settings, including with non-engineering collaborators • Must reside in and work from one of SNHU's approved states • Reliable internet connection and dedicated, properly equipped workspace free of distractions
