📋 Description

• Own prioritization across customer commitments, support escalations, reliability work, and new opportunities • Talk directly with customers, participate in Customer Engineering and Sales calls, and test proposed solutions early • Partner with engineers and designers to turn priorities into requirements, user stories, success criteria, and project plans • Evaluate technical constraints and balance costs when assessing options • Maintain a current view of contractual commitments and exploratory work • Provide go-to-market teams with guidance on promises, discussion points, and timeline certainty • Document expected benefits and key assumptions for investments • Track adoption and outcomes and apply learnings to future decisions • Shape Socket’s product strategy and build scalable product practices for prioritization, trade-offs, success metrics, roadmapping, and communication

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of product management experience, ideally owning developer-facing, security, or infrastructure products in a B2B SaaS environment • Track record of making hard prioritization calls under real capacity limits • Ability to define product boundaries and make trade-offs explicit • Technical fluency sufficient to work with engineers and customers, including understanding CI/CD pipelines and lockfiles • Customer discovery and problem validation skills • Ability to influence Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales, and leadership without formal authority • Strong project management instincts, including surfacing risks and managing scope or timing changes • Clear, concise written communication for asynchronous work • Builder mindset and ability to create product practices from the ground up • Preferred: experience with software supply chain security, application security, vulnerability management, or security platforms • Preferred: experience building products for developers or security teams • Preferred: familiarity with enterprise software evaluation, technical sales cycles, and customer-driven roadmap pressure • Preferred: experience joining as an early or first dedicated Product Manager
