📋 Description

• Provide overall management and oversight for assigned outsourced CDI engagements, including supplemental and fully outsourced programs • Support Consulting Services revenue and performance objectives • Manage client and vendor relationships, address operational challenges, resolve conflicts, and ensure successful delivery of contracted CDI services • Supervise CDI professionals through leadership, coaching, clinical documentation expertise, and ongoing development • Monitor productivity, quality, financial, and operational metrics; identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans • Lead day-to-day CDI operations, including workload allocation, performance monitoring, goal setting, and team accountability • Develop and deliver targeted education and training based on audit findings, documentation trends, quality opportunities, and staff development needs • Partner with client leadership, Coding, CDI, and internal Consulting Services teams to optimize workflows and improve program performance • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and CDI best practices • Support employee engagement, professional development, and career growth

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution, completed and verified prior to start • Eight (8) years of acute care CDI management experience • CCDS certification or valid RN license with minimum of five (5) years acute care experience • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time • Master’s degree in HIM, Nursing, or another healthcare clinical background is preferred • Preferred 10+ years in management of CDI or HIM services consulting or coding functions in a mid-to-large size acute care hospital setting, or 10+ years managing an outsourced CDI group • Strong ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, coding guidelines, and DRG methodologies experience • Working knowledge of risk-adjusted methodologies such as APR DRGs and quality-of-care measures such as HACs and PSIs • Deep understanding of clinical documentation, medical record coding, healthcare billing, and revenue cycle management • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work independently, and produce excellent results • Must be legally authorized to work in a country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status
