📋 Description

• Act as lead faculty, secondary faculty, or adjunct faculty in developing assigned physical therapy courses based on expertise and experience • Develop and deliver distance education and onsite lab immersive learning experiences • Develop and deliver traditional and nontraditional assessments of student performance • Maintain current records of student participation and grades • Provide timely academic performance feedback to students • Lead or participate in post-course assessment activities • Review student and faculty course evaluations • Schedule and conduct faculty team post-course analysis meetings • Ensure teaching and education responsibilities comply with accreditation policies and procedures • Engage in scholarly work contributing to the profession in accordance with CAPTE guidelines • Participate in service activities including committee work, ad hoc task forces, and leadership roles

🎯 Requirements

• Earned doctorate (DPT, PhD, DSc, EdD) in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities • Licensed or eligible for licensure in Tennessee or the state of residence • ABPTS specialization or advanced certification in a discipline appropriate for teaching responsibilities is preferred • Prior experience teaching in a CAPTE accredited Doctor of Physical Therapy program • Minimum of five years of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical practice • Understanding of higher education and contemporary clinical practice appropriate for leadership in physical therapy education • Able to travel overnight or for extended periods to Knoxville for lab and student events • Strong interpersonal, communication, and technology skills • Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and working in an inclusive and collaborative team environment • CV, cover letter, three references, and separate teaching philosophy document required with application
