📋 Description

• Instruct and facilitate meaningful learning of course outcomes • Support all facets of the learning environment and promote student success • Design and deliver instruction aligned with South University curricula and delivery model • Develop instructional plans and activities supporting lesson objectives • Deliver approved instruction within online course shells for online courses • Use technology in the classroom to support student learning • Establish student performance criteria and evaluate learning outcomes • Plan and prepare classes and foster student involvement • Maintain accurate records and submit grades and reports on time • Enforce academic and attendance policies • Relate professional, life, and industry experience to course learning • Continue professional and technical skills development and monitor industry trends • Participate in faculty development, curriculum and system task forces, campus events, workshops, and meetings • Communicate with supervisors, faculty, and South University administrators

🎯 Requirements

• Doctor's or master's degree in the teaching discipline, or master's degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours, for applicable undergraduate/general education/transfer/ baccalaureate courses • Bachelor's degree in the teaching discipline, or associate's degree and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline, for applicable associate degree courses not designed for transfer • Earned doctorate/terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline for graduate and post-baccalaureate coursework • Master's degree in the teaching discipline or 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline for graduate teaching assistants • Experience in instruction or formalized education process, preferably in a post-secondary or college institution • Active, valid, and unencumbered state licensure or certification as applicable to the discipline • At least six months of teaching experience at South University or another post-secondary education institution preferred, with online experience a plus for online-only positions • Willingness to work in an accelerated online learning format with students five of seven days per online week, for online positions • Willingness to attend required departmental meetings, for online positions • Membership in a professional association tied to the area of instruction preferred
