📋 Description

• Process the insurance component of patients' obligations using third-party claims processing and payment rules • Bill claims appropriately • Follow up on denied claims through appeals and denial recovery procedures • Work denied claim lines and no-response claims to resolve outstanding accounts • Analyze and resolve credit balances on patient accounts • Respond to refund request letters from insurance carriers • Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in improvement plans • Work on special projects as needed • Review the work of others when required • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• One year of experience in medical authorization, coding, or health finance • High school diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience • Must reside within 2 hours from the hospital location • Available for full-time day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM • Ability to perform frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing 0-25 lbs. • Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements • Ability to use vision and depth perception for near and far distances and distinguish colors • Ability to use hearing and speech for oral communication and hear alarms and malfunctioning machinery • Frequent keyboard use/data entry • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, grip, and lift/carry or push/pull objects weighing 25-50 lbs. • Ability to rarely climb • No required professional license or certification
