📋 Description

• Determine the patient financial component for patient services • Estimate, communicate, and collect patient financial responsibility • Provide patient financial counseling • Assist patients in understanding insurance benefits, including co-payment, deductible, and co-insurance responsibilities • Educate patients about financial assistance programs when appropriate • Obtain patient demographic information and request financial responsibility from patients • Determine patient qualification for coverage by third-party payers and inform the financial counselor, patient, or family member of status • Verify commercial insurance, workers compensation, TPL insurance, and state and government program coverage • Document and resolve patient concerns or inquiries received by telephone, mail, or walk-in within established time frames • Validate the Master Patient Index according to departmental policy • Interpret physician orders • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with Epic, call center operations, and patient pre-registration processes • Strong computer proficiency • Excellent communication skills • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience • No experience required • Must reside in MO, IL, OK, or WI • Frequent keyboard use/data entry • Ability to perform listed physical requirements, including frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0–25 lbs • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25–50 lbs • Required professional licenses and/or certifications: None
