• Collect data directly from patients and referring provider offices to confirm and create scheduled appointments for patient services • Coordinate scheduling and referrals to other healthcare providers and services • Obtain approval for schedule changes or cancellations as appropriate • Assist with maintaining and updating provider contact information • Enter medical appointments, special instructions, and patient information into the electronic medical system • Follow site-specific protocols and maintain up-to-date documentation to ensure compliance • Perform other duties as assigned • Support the Monroe Eye department and help patients obtain the right appointment with the right provider at the right time
• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience • No experience required • Frequent keyboard use/data entry • Ability to perform frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing 0–25 lbs. • Ability to perform occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling of objects weighing 25–50 lbs. • Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements • Ability to perform frequent near and distance vision and depth perception tasks, including identifying and distinguishing colors • Ability to perform frequent hearing and oral communication tasks • Ability to perform occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping • Ability to climb rarely • No professional license or certification required
