📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain StackOS, Stack AV's vehicle operating system, ensuring reliability and performance for a safety-critical autonomy platform • Drive the architecture and implementation of the onboard portion of Deploy Manager for safe, reliable, and efficient vehicle software delivery • Work with internal customers to design and implement features from ideation through deployment • Automate processes for assembling self-driving vehicles and updating their software • Identify and evaluate opportunities to improve StackOS and Deploy performance, reliability, and usability • Partner with safety and validation teams to meet functional safety requirements • Deliver high-quality software using automated testing, manual code review, and automated code review

🎯 Requirements

• Strong C++ development experience required • Some Python experience highly preferred • Expert knowledge of software engineering and algorithm design principles • Significant experience developing high-performance software systems in resource-constrained environments, preferably for safety-critical applications • Expert-level understanding of Linux and building Linux distributions via Yocto • Strong understanding of POSIX programming, Linux, and concurrent programming • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals • Comfortable working with and debugging embedded systems • Position may require verification of residence, U.S. person status, and/or citizenship status due to U.S. national security and export-control requirements
