📋 Description

• Lead the development and execution of safety strategies that reduce injury risk and preventable collisions across the delivery fleet network • Provide strategic leadership for OSHA, NFPA, and DOT/FMCSA compliance programs • Drive driver qualification, safety training, engagement, collision reduction, and continuous improvement across the transportation network • Serve as the subject matter expert to standardize, harmonize, and support execution of fleet safety and regulatory compliance programs • Analyze CSA scores, fleet performance, and safety trends to develop initiatives that improve compliance and reduce risk • Transition rapidly between tactical, strategic, and technical levels • Identify new use cases for technology and automation in risk reduction campaigns • Review incident investigation quality and effectiveness • Provide weekly and monthly leadership update reports on fleet safety improvements, project status, and progress toward strategic targets • Simplify, streamline, and automate business functions to eliminate waste • Apply project management and lean six sigma methodology • Communicate and partner with fleet leadership, executives, and the EHS team to build a best-in-class transportation safety program

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of safety management or leadership experience in the transportation / delivery industry • Extensive knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 General Industry Standards and DOT 49 CFR FMCSA regulations • Experience implementing compliance programs within warehouse and transportation operations • Demonstrated experience developing and executing fleet safety strategies using telematics technology (e.g., Samsara), analytics, coaching processes, and performance management • Strong communication skills to explain technical or regulatory requirements practically across organizational levels • Ability to build partnerships with operations leaders and influence without authority • Ability to analyze, define, diagnose, and resolve problems based on sound logic and rationale • Experience with project management and lean six sigma methodology • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or similar industry-recognized certification preferred
