• Provide cost management services throughout the project lifecycle for commercial real estate construction projects across the United States • Advise clients on procurement strategies and manage vendor prequalification, proposal assessment, bid leveling, interviews, recommendations, and appointments • Manage project estimating, including construction, fees, direct work, and other costs • Review and present estimates, value engineering recommendations, risk assessments, and benchmark data to clients • Manage cost reporting, forecasts, commercial risk registers, and periodic project team and vendor meetings • Manage cost control, including payment applications, contractor entitlements, change orders, payment requisitions, and contractual disputes • Manage and monitor invoicing processes • Benchmark performance against successful commissions • Manage final accounting, post-contract audits, and account closeouts • Conduct post-contract client reviews, document lessons learned, and develop training materials • Develop project handover procedures • Use and prepare bid analysis sheets, change control forms, cost estimating software, and take-off software • Adhere to applicable SOX control responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a construction-related field • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry • RICS accredited or working towards it is valuable • Experience supporting cost management on medium or large-sized construction projects • Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary project team
