📋 Description

• Set the strategy for AI in analytics, reporting, and self-serve data access • Own AI tool selection, administration, and architecture, including Claude on Snowflake, MCP servers, skills, agent workflows, and IDE integrations • Design evaluation and guardrail systems for agent output and high-stakes reporting • Define governance and delivery processes for analytics use cases • Debug failures involving LLMs, data modeling, metadata, and system design • Plan for evolving agent patterns, tools, business questions, and regulatory constraints • Mentor analytics engineers, analysts, and other engineers on AI-assisted analytics • Lead external content and communication about AI-assisted analytics • Extend and refine dbt and Snowflake models for reporting, analytics, and AI consumption • Inform standards for models, metrics, tests, documentation, and lineage • Lead semantic and context layers, metric definitions, business context, and metadata • Build consensus for team-wide adoption of technical standards

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years across data platform, ML platform, or developer-tooling, including time as the senior technical voice for a major data/ML/AI surface • Production experience architecting LLM systems: agents, evals, RAG, MCP, tool use, multi-step workflows, and their failure modes • Strong dbt and cloud warehouse skills; Snowflake preferred • Expertise in semantic layers and metadata • Track record of driving wide-team consensus on technical direction and adoption • Comfortable communicating externally through blog posts, talks, OSS contributions, and customer-facing thought leadership • Architect-mentor profile rather than solo IC • Bonus: Claude Code / Agent SDK, healthcare/claims data, or prior 0→1 platform builds • Authorization to work in the United States
