• Develop and execute technology strategy aligned with Strategic’s business goals, emphasizing internal and external customer experience • Oversee organizational hardware, software, data, networks, and development and delivery of client technology solutions • Provide daily managerial oversight of technical staff, including recruitment, training, professional development, and operations • Ensure processes follow regulatory requirements • Manage the technology budget and liaise with internal parties and external partners • Research and recommend new systems and technologies • Guide strategic business decisions and develop long-term strategies, technology vision, and architecture roadmap • Drive adoption of new technologies and manage implementation of technology solutions • Work with executive leadership to align technology with business goals • Ensure software and infrastructure security and implement data protection best practices • Partner with the IT/Security lead to ensure the corporate network adheres to CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 • Migrate legacy federal systems to secure cloud infrastructures such as AWS GovCloud or Microsoft Azure Government • Integrate artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data into compliant solutions • Translate complex technical terminology into clear mission outcomes for engineering teams, non-technical stakeholders, and agency leadership • Create operational and service delivery playbooks and frameworks for Strategic’s go-to-market solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field required • 10+ years of related experience with at least 5 years in an executive, senior leadership, or managerial position • Prior experience creating operation playbooks for solution teams • Deep understanding of systems architecture, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence tools like virtual assistants, coding tools and image generation software, cybersecurity governance, policies, frameworks, and risk management • Prior experience managing 15+ direct reports and 20+ team members indirectly • Ten years’ experience planning, designing, managing, and deploying solutions encompassing technological vision, assessment of existing infrastructure, optimization of workflows, integration of new tools and replacement of old tools for data export and workflow adoption, governance and risk assessments for enterprise or public sector entities • Ability to travel, estimated 25 to 50% • Ability to support after-hours escalation and project demands as needed • Familiarity working with public sector entities, state and local government, education (SLED) and federal acquisition regulations (FARs) • Practical experience architecting systems adhering to FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC • AWS Professional level certification preferred • Google Cloud Professional level certification preferred • CISSP or CISM preferred • PMP or CGEIT preferred • Preferred US Citizen with ability to obtain security clearance as needed • Ability to work with minimal supervision • Analytical thinking skills • Excellent organization and time management skills • Proven ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams • Superior communication and presentation skills, including translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders • Superior problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Working knowledge of employment practices, performance management, and employee development
