• Support instructional faculty by interacting with students in large online classrooms • Create and implement communication and supplemental instruction methods to support student success • Work a defined schedule of 20 hours per week and report to key Faculty roles within the designated team • Support Online undergraduate CIS333, SEC340, SEC420, and SEC435 courses • Analyze student activity in discussions and assessments and respond based on training and lead-instructor input • Assist with managing student communications • Escalate unique issues to the lead instructor • Assist with grading and provide feedback • Monitor student engagement and recommend approaches to increase engagement • Provide tutoring, live sessions, and other student support as directed • Conduct student outreach as directed • Help develop supplemental support documents, videos, and job aids • Perform other duties as assigned
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance or similar field required • Security+, CEH, or CHFI certification requirement • Candidates without the required certifications must agree to a professional development plan to earn these certifications within a year of employment • Professional experience in the field of study is preferred and may be required dependent on course credentialing requirements • Previous teaching experience preferred • Online teaching experience preferred • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to interact effectively with faculty, coaches, and learners • Effective time management skills • Relationship-building, customer service, and problem resolution skills • Strong attention to detail, initiative, and follow-through • Experience working with a diversity of learning styles • Comfortable using technology to facilitate learning • Availability for weekday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ET and weekends • Availability for weekend office hours • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available • Ability to access information using a computer • Ability to effectively communicate up and down the management chain • Ability to cope effectively with stressful situations • Good attendance • Strong organizational and time management skills • Strong mental acuity • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
