📋 Description

• Serve as primary support and one-to-one relationship builder for Capella’s prospective students • Educate prospects about online degree programs, financing, and licensure matters • Clarify key decision points and solution alternatives aligned with individual needs • Support prospective students through the full enrollment lifecycle, from relationship development through application and preparation for long-term success • Build and manage a strong pipeline using organization and forecasting methodology • Qualify readiness and fit, investigate needs, understand motivations, present program features and financing options, recommend customized solutions, and ask for the business when appropriate • Maintain multiple interactions with prospective students over extended periods • Use systems, workflow tools, pipeline management tools, automation, and complex software applications to manage student data • Interact continuously with warm leads by phone, chat, social media, and email; no cold calling • Manage service standards including availability, talk time, contact strategy and protocols, pipeline management, backlog, record keeping, and forecasting • Complete continuous training and development to maintain expertise in evolving product offerings • Participate as a team member, support colleagues, join team discussions and 1:1 call coaching, and provide constructive feedback to management • Create personalized pathways and improve student engagement through needs assessment and transparent communication

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated track record of advanced performance and ability to meet objectives • Ability to work in a goal-driven and measured performance environment • Excellent time management, interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills • Evidence of organizational accomplishments in a productive and contributive team environment • Highly motivated, self-starter and able to relate positively and professionally with prospective students and University colleagues • Expertise leveraging customer-tracking software applications and tools • High achievement-orientation and drive • High service-orientation • Ability to work 9am-6pm with periodic late coverage from 11am-8pm • Previous professional sales experience is preferred; relevant experience may include higher education admissions, recruiting, financial services, educational or training-industry sales, referral-based sales, fundraising, or high-end retail sales • Other high achievement-orientation or high service-orientation experience can also be considered • Strong desire to work in a mission-driven culture and in the best interests of customers/students • Experience with a comprehensive customer-decision cycle involving multiple contacts • Experience representing high-value products and services to a diverse customer base • Experience creating and maintaining strong customer relationships • Relevant four-year degree preferred; additional work experience or a strong resume and portfolio accepted in place of a degree • Must be able to travel occasionally if a business need arises • Must be able to meet critical-thinking and problem-solving aspects aligned to job duties and communicate effectively with co-workers • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant • Able to access information using a computer
