📋 Description

• Deliver specific K-5 course content in an online environment • Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Augment course content using approved synchronous and asynchronous tools • Maintain the grade book and uphold student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Travel as required, approximately once per month and/or 20% of the time, for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Active Colorado state teaching license • Colorado State Department of Education Elementary Teaching Certification • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday, typically 9-5 or 8-4 • Ability to collaborate with teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations and use them for instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Ability to clear a required background check • Experience with the proposed age group, online or brick-and-mortar teaching, online learning platforms, and supporting adults and children with technology are desired qualifications
