📋 Description

• Deliver specific elementary course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Maintain the grade book and ensure student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with other teachers to interpret and produce student-data representations and use data to drive instructional decisions • Travel as required for professional development, student testing, and school functions

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree • Active state teaching license • Elementary certification for Grades K-6 • Reciprocity in West Virginia within 60 days of employment if certification is from another state • Ability to clear the required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during the workday • Experience working with the proposed age group preferred • Experience supporting adults and children in using technology preferred • Experience teaching online/virtual and/or in a brick-and-mortar environment preferred • Experience with online learning platforms preferred • Ability to collaborate with teachers and use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Must travel as required, on average once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time
