📋 Description

• Direct and coordinate educational, administrative, and counseling activities of students personally or through subordinate supervisors • Ensure educational programs conform to state and local school board standards • Research and implement non-K12 curriculum resources that meet state standards as needed • Manage teaching and administrative staff, including Master and Lead Teachers and programs • Articulate the school’s mission and vision and align stakeholders toward desired results • Use communication technologies and practices supporting a predominantly virtual/remote work environment • Confer with teachers, students, and parents concerning educational and behavioral problems • Coordinate with teachers and K12 Enrollment regarding expulsions and withdrawals • Ensure the school meets student needs while complying with local, state, and federal laws, including special education laws • Develop and oversee implementation of the school’s Academic Improvement Plan

🎯 Requirements

• Alabama Educational Leadership Certificate • Must reside in Alabama • Master's degree in business, education or related field of study OR equivalent combination of education and experience • Five (5) years of educational experience • One (1) year of supervisory experience, unless using an equivalent combination of education and experience • Ability to clear required background check • Demonstrable leadership, organizational and time management skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio • Web proficiency • Ability to travel 20% of the time • Experience as an on-line / virtual educator • State License as a School Administrator • Desired: Experience working with proposed age group • Desired: Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology • Desired: Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar environment • Desired: Experience with online learning platforms
