📋 Description

• Deliver specific course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance based on each student's Individualized Education Program • Ensure special education and related services are provided as determined by the IEP team • Communicate with parents and related service staff regarding student therapies • Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports, and required special education documentation • Facilitate and lead collaborative special education meetings, including annual IEP meetings • Implement accommodations and modifications using assistive technology, supplemental curriculum, and accessible text • Modify Stride K12 lessons and assessments according to IEP requirements • Ensure student inclusion and success in the general education classroom • Collect data and work samples to monitor progress toward IEP goals • Document parent contacts and student interventions • Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions and alert administrators to performance concerns • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Build positive rapport with families and communicate promptly with students and learning coaches or parents • Support learning coaches and parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Work collaboratively with teachers to interpret student data and drive instruction

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • Active Oklahoma state teaching license • Oklahoma Special Education Teaching Certification • Ability to clear required background check • Must reside in Oklahoma • 0–1 year of related professional experience • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Ability to use student data to drive instructional decisions • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Math certification in addition to Special Education certification preferred • Secondary HS endorsement in addition to Mild/Mod certification preferred • Experience with the proposed age group desired • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology desired • Experience teaching online or in a brick-and-mortar environment desired • Experience with an online learning platform desired
