📋 Description

• Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students • Personalize learning for all students • Differentiate instruction based on student level of mastery • Augment course content using appropriate asynchronous and synchronous tools under guidance from the principal and coach • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students and learning coaches/parents in a timely manner • Support learning coaches/parents with curricular and instructional issues and basic troubleshooting in a virtual classroom • Monitor student progress through Stride K12’s learning management system • Travel for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and other school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Appropriate state Department of Education High School (9-12) Math Teaching Certification required • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Position is virtual and open to residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C. • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday, typically 9-5 (or 8-4) or as defined by the school • Travel as required, on average once per month and/or approximately 20% of the time • Experience working with the proposed age group desired • Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology desired • Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick-and-mortar environment desired • Experience with online learning platforms desired • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data desired • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint desired • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms desired • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum desired
