📋 Description

• Deliver specific high school science course content in an online environment • Provide instruction, support, and guidance while managing the learning process • Personalize learning and differentiate instruction based on student mastery • Provide synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences • Augment course content using approved online tools and procedures • Maintain the grade book and student academic integrity • Make student placement and promotion decisions • Monitor student progress through Stride K12's learning management system • Alert administrators to concerns about student performance and progress • Prepare students for high-stakes standardized tests • Establish and maintain positive rapport with families • Communicate with and respond to students, parents, and learning coaches in a timely manner • Support parents and learning coaches with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting issues • Collaborate with teachers and administrators to use student data for instructional decisions • Travel approximately once per month or 20% of the time for professional development, student testing, and other school requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Science (7-12) certificate and license • Residency in Texas • Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Ability to clear required background check • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
