• Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum to meet each student's unique needs and align with state content standards • Collaborate with general education teachers through individualized and small-group sessions • Educate parents on instructional strategies • Implement the RTI instructional system to increase student achievement • Oversee data collection and progress monitoring at every tier • Use data to help teachers plan whole- and small-group instruction • Guide teachers in identifying and grouping students needing additional help • Collect and maintain RTI data and intervention plans • Serve as a daily RTI resource to school administrators, leadership teams, and stakeholders • Coordinate and track Tier 2 interventions with homeroom teachers, advisors, counselors, and district personnel • Provide ongoing training and support on RTI and data-collection procedures • Support teachers in documenting student progress • Work with the special education team to facilitate special-education eligibility • Travel up to 20% for face-to-face professional development, student testing, and/or school requirements
• Bachelor's degree • Active state teaching license • Arizona Department of Education High School Special Education Teaching Certification • Arizona fingerprinting card • Ability to clear required background check • Must reside in Arizona; surrounding states may be considered • 0–1 year of related professional experience • Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during the workday • Ability to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic student-data representations and use them for instructional decisions • Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers • Ability to embrace change and adapt • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint • Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms • Ability to maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum • Ability to travel up to 20% for professional development, student testing, and/or school requirements • Desired: experience with the proposed age group • Desired: experience supporting adults and children using technology • Desired: online or brick-and-mortar teaching experience • Desired: experience with online learning platforms
