📋 Description

• Conduct complex risk assessments of insured properties and operations • Provide detailed physical and operational insights to support underwriting decisions • Identify potential risk exposures and formulate strategic recommendations to mitigate identified risks • Analyze loss data to identify trends and implement tailored loss prevention programs • Provide advanced technical guidance and conduct client training on safety practices and regulatory compliance • Deliver joint marketing presentations with underwriting, claims, and sales to accounts and agents • Coach staff when assigned • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management and Insurance, Safety Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience • Generally, a minimum of 9 years of experience in loss control, risk management, or a related field within the property and casualty insurance industry • Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred, such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Certified Safety and Health Management (CSHMS), Associate Loss Control Management (ALCM) or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) • Advanced analytical, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills • Advanced knowledge of company policies and industry laws and regulations • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Results-oriented consultative skills • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to analyze situations, identify problems, and develop effective solutions • Regular travel required • Ability to conduct on-site risk assessments and service policyholders throughout Maryland and Northern Virginia
