📋 Description

• Oversee day-to-day purchasing workflows, including purchase order placement, on-time product delivery, and invoice payment • Manage exceptions and work with suppliers to resolve invoice or delivery discrepancies • Create purchase orders from requisitions • Facilitate periodic requests for quote (RFQ) to appropriate suppliers and manage the company’s item portfolio • Review inventory and purchasing data to support sourcing needs • Identify and execute cost and payment-term improvement plans with suppliers • Monitor supplier performance, product delivery schedules, specifications, and supplier scorecards • Assist with contract negotiations and request quotes to secure competitive pricing • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to maintain quality and delivery standards

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience in a related field • Ability to participate effectively as a project team member and interface with various departmental representatives • Analytical capability with metrics, volumes, trends, and financial information • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks and projects amid competing priorities • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills • Strong computer skills, including G-Suite knowledge, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint • Advanced MS Excel skills • Experience with Oracle, SAP, or a similar ERP
