📋 Description

• Provide exceptional accounting and operational service to clients • Demonstrate professional accounting and bookkeeping knowledge • Keep current with technology developments to deliver quality service • Oversee client onboarding for assigned engagements • Implement the technology toolbox on client engagements to drive efficiency and client value • Serve as a resource to team members for client tasks and issue resolution • Monitor team performance, quality, protocols, timeliness, and budgets; provide coaching and feedback • Build trusted-advisor relationships with client executives and proactively identify issues and solutions • Educate executives on Supporting Strategies’ accounting and operational services • Partner with Talent Acquisition and the Managing Director to hire remote accountants • Interview candidates, call references, and provide timely feedback • Orient, train, and coach assigned accountants • Balance workflow according to client needs, accountant expertise, capacity, and budgets • Review accountants’ work for quality • Maintain profit margins for assigned clients and team • Schedule and lead annual performance reviews

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field • 10 years of related Non Profit accounting experience • 4 years of hands-on management experience, including hiring, training and developing a highly engaged service-oriented team • Capacity and commitment to work 32–35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during traditional daytime business hours • Proven ability to attract, build and retain a high-performance team • Experience developing strong remote team relationships based on trust, accountability, integrity, and sharing best practices • Commitment to follow established policies and procedures and hold team members accountable • Ability to learn and embrace QuickBooks Enterprise and Online, Bill.com, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, HubDoc and other technologies • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, orally and in writing • Commitment to maintain the highest level of confidentiality while working with client data
