📋 Description

• Provide competent and thorough intake services for psychiatric and chemical dependency admissions • Conduct initial screening of psychiatric and medical needs for incoming referrals • Perform virtual assessments through phone triage and patient assessments • Triage patients in acute crisis • Determine and arrange disposition to the correct level of care • Explain medical lab results and sensitive information clearly and professionally • Recognize and respond appropriately to unsafe or emergency situations • Collaborate with peers, physicians, nurses, administrators, and the public to provide high-quality patient care • Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team • Manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining schedules

🎯 Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • RN-Registered Nurse of California (will need to obtain prior to date of hire) • RN-Registered Nurse in State of Residence • 1 year of mental health experience • 2 years of practical nursing experience in a hospital, clinic, urgent care, or emergency room/department • Professional knowledge of clinical nursing protocols, regulations, institutional standards of care, risk management, disease processes, emergencies, health sciences, and pharmacology • Advanced clinical knowledge of medical diagnoses, procedures, protocols, treatments, terminology, and state and federal regulations and guidelines • Solid analytical and project management skills • Communication, interpersonal, and interviewing skills • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical/health records • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously • Ability to recognize unsafe or emergency situations and respond appropriately • Ability to ensure patient protected health information privacy • Ability to analyze and solve standard problems using guidelines, policies, experience, and judgment • Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers, physicians, nurses, administrators, and the public
