📋 Description

• Oversee general ledger and accounting-related activities for assigned Sysco entities and accounts • Review and approve monthly and quarterly account reconciliations • Review and approve medium- to high-risk journal entries • Serve as escalation point of contact for assigned balance sheet accounts • Manage month-end task lists and BPC reporting packages for financial consolidation • Attend stakeholder meetings, discuss open risks, and develop action plans • Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures • Develop and perform analytics on key accounts • Apply the Financial & Accounting Methods Manual and suggest updates • Support internal and external audit requests • Review and provide feedback on reconciliations, journal entries, and assigned tasks • Review and approve standard operating procedures • Mentor new Accounting Analysts and Staff Accountants • Suggest process improvements and streamline end-to-end processes • Support the Accounting Team Lead with overall team management as needed • Complete special projects • Ensure adherence to department goals, metrics, Internal Audit reports, and SLAs

🎯 Requirements

• 5 years of Accounting or related experience required • Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required • Ability to analyze and reconcile reports • Ability to find and resolve discrepancies • Ability to work cross-functionally to solve problems • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • Proficiency with specialized accounting/finance software and ERP systems, such as Workday • Strong communication skills • Currently authorized to work in the United States
