📋 Description

• Lead Tallo’s engineering and technology organization • Develop and support the existing engineering team and grow the structures and systems powering Tallo’s career platform • Manage engineering managers who lead software engineering and QA teams • Set technical direction for the platform and partner with Product, Data, Marketing, and company leadership • Own the structure and health of the engineering organization • Own technical architecture, product roadmap delivery, and long-term platform evolution • Establish engineering practices, quality assurance standards, release processes, and engineering metrics • Hire, onboard, coach, and develop engineering managers and technical leaders • Set architecture and standards for secure, performant, scalable systems • Partner on safety, security, compliance, data architecture, analytics, SEO, operations, and product roadmap planning • Evaluate AI and ML use cases and advise on tooling, infrastructure, experimentation, and evaluation • Report to the CEO and communicate progress, risks, capacity, and investment tradeoffs to leadership • Directly supervise engineering managers, senior individual contributors, and associated software engineering and QA teams

🎯 Requirements

• Deep experience in software engineering and senior leadership of multi-team organizations • Exceptional hiring ability, including attracting and landing strong engineers and engineering leaders • Proven experience leading engineering managers and building team structures, leveling frameworks, and operating models • Track record of identifying and empowering strong technical leaders • Demonstrated success building and scaling engineering organizations in high-growth environments • Strong background in modern cloud-based architectures, DevOps practices, and distributed systems • Track record of shipping customer-facing product capabilities, including data-driven or AI-enabled features, into production • Experience owning quality assurance and reliability standards and practices • Experience building secure systems and meeting compliance requirements • Experience partnering with data and data science functions, including data architecture and analytics • Excellent people leadership skills, including coaching managers and developing technical leaders • Strong strategic thinking with a hands-on execution orientation • Comfortable working directly with the team • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with executive-level influence • Ability to clear required background checks • No certificates or licenses required
