📋 Description

• Review protocols for study objectives, research questions, hypotheses, study design, sample size, sampling plans, data collection, data analysis, data management, security and confidentiality, backups, and record retention. • Review manuscripts for study objectives, research questions, hypotheses, study design, statistical methods, conclusions, limitations, tables, and figures. • Spot-check consistency of results across abstracts, manuscript text, tables, and figures. • Assess validity of epidemiological methods and human subjects research issues. • Support a federal government public health customer.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a clinician or medical officer • Specialized epidemiology and public health expertise in HIV and tuberculosis • Experience designing, implementing, and disseminating public health science • Experience with protocol and manuscript development • Excellent writing, editing, and reviewing skills • Experience conducting scientific reviews, including human subjects issues • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize assignments • Critical thinking, data analysis, and problem-solving ability • Effective communication and presentation skills • Ability to work independently and in a team environment • Strong attention to detail • Ability to obtain government clearance • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship • Doctor of Medicine (MD) from an accredited university required • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer • May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
