📋 Description

• Remediate security findings across infrastructure by writing Terraform and application changes • Drive remediation to completion when fixes belong to other teams • Run vulnerability management from Snyk, Prowler, and ASV findings through verified fixes • Own AWS security posture across IAM, least privilege, network boundaries, secrets management, and logging coverage • Define and enforce technical security baselines as code, including host hardening, WAF configuration, and deployment patterns • Conduct regular penetration testing against the company’s environment • Perform threat modelling and security reviews for new services and integrations with payment and custody providers • Serve as technical lead for security incidents, including forensic investigations • Own and improve Datadog detection coverage and tune alerts for meaningful signals • Report into Platform Engineering and work closely with the CISO, who sets the security agenda and serves as the escalation route

🎯 Requirements

• Five or more years in hands-on security engineering with responsibility for production systems • Ability to write and ship code using Terraform and Python • Application fluency sufficient to remediate vulnerabilities directly • Deep AWS security experience, including IAM and least privilege at organization scale • Experience with container workloads in ECS or EKS • Application security experience, including threat modelling and hands-on offensive testing against cloud and application targets • Security incident response, including forensic investigation • Experience running vulnerability management and driving fixes through teams not directly managed • Experience working in a regulated environment and translating ISO 27001, PCI DSS, or SOC 2 requirements into engineering work • Detection engineering in Datadog or a comparable SIEM • Experience securing CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions • Practical cryptography and secrets management experience, including key rotation and certificate lifecycle • Experience using AI coding tools to remediate at scale and reviewing AI-generated code from a security perspective • Experience with payments, cards, or digital assets
