📋 Description

• Adjudicate insurance claims and resolve rejections in a multi-state environment • Properly handle order exceptions such as refill-too-soon and invalid orders • Work with prescribers to clarify prescriptions and obtain prior authorizations • Manage routine notification of insurance issues and communicate with caregivers • Stay updated on current Medicare/Medicaid policies and common insurance practices • Work with others to resolve common coverage issues or concerns

🎯 Requirements

• Working knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and Managed Medicaid in Texas • Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy environment • 1+ year of recent experience with FrameworkLTC • Must possess a TX State Board of Pharmacy Technician License • Type an average of 50 wpm • Excellent phone skills, verbal and written communication skills, and active listening • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, including Outlook and Excel • Comfortable making phone calls and handling difficult conversations • Understands basic pharmacy language to interpret prescriptions • Preferred: 3+ years’ experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy environment • Excellent problem-solving abilities • Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment • Team player willing to assist other departments when needed • Communicate effectively with leadership and peers • Must be available for occasional overtime • Must be able to withstand long hours of computer screen time • Repetitive motion desk work
