📋 Description

• Scope and create documentation individually and in collaboration with teams • Write clear documentation for technical and other tasks • Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others • Write and test published documents for searchability and effectiveness • Manage multiple competing priorities in a constantly changing environment • Plan, research, and write documentation for moderately to highly complex projects • Manage cross-functional stakeholder relationships to understand processes, draft and review documentation, and approve final copy • Identify content audiences and anticipate their questions, problems, and needs • Develop innovative solutions to complex tasks and improve processes, practices, maintenance processes, and tools • Create operating guidelines, knowledge bases, customer support agent content, and FAQ pages • Collaborate with subject matter experts, product designers, and internal experts • Conduct independent research

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS with strong academic record; English, Journalism, Communications or equivalent writing degree preferred • 5+ years of online editing, content creation, and/or content strategy experience • 5+ years working in a technical field • 5+ years managing small project teams to develop, execute and complete assignments • Experience evaluating team performance, including quarterly reviews and assessments • Aptitude for quickly learning and understanding new technologies • Strong command of the English language, including grammar and proofreading skills • Business acumen, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills • Technical curiosity, research, and problem-solving skills • Ability to translate complex technical subjects into plain language for different audiences • Commitment to following and improving team processes and style guidelines • Ability to self-manage day-to-day tasks with minimal guidance • Strong project management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment • Ability to adapt quickly and create solutions independently and collaboratively • Familiarity with web technologies and web-based content management tools • Programming skills in any language • Familiarity with image editing tools and graphic design • Experience presenting learning content through recorded video tutorials, live video streams, or instructor-led training • Experience writing content for a technology company • Experience working cross-functionally with UX, Product Management, Sales, and Marketing partners • Ability to make content strategy decisions based on credible metrics and communicate well-reasoned analysis
