📋 Description

• Ensure the smooth progression of background investigations for permanent employees and other personnel • Serve as the main point of contact for applicants, supervisors, and staffing personnel throughout the investigation process • Assess personnel security vetting requirements and determine appropriate vetting scenarios • Review case details and investigation requests for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal policies • Review adjudicated investigations and Special Agreement Checks for reciprocity eligibility • Conduct detailed reviews of SF-85, SF-85P, and SF-86 submissions • Manage end-to-end case processing within eAPP, including initiation, tracking, and resolution of investigation requests • Prepare and process agency-specific personnel security documentation, including AD-1187 requests • Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on investigation processes, adjudicative standards, and policy interpretation • Support biometric data collection, fingerprint capture, and submissions for suitability and security clearance processing • Identify and correct fingerprint quality issues • Verify SAC records, create ePS BI subcases, upload SAC records, and maintain tracking systems • Liaise with applicants and supervisors to resolve questions and concerns • Gather, organize, and analyze data and solve data-gathering problems • Protect personally identifiable information and secure government facilities, equipment, and materials

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of subject matter expertise in security or intelligence disciplines, or alternatively 5+ years of subject matter expertise in security or intelligence disciplines • Tier 2 security clearance or higher is required • Experienced and trained user of eTracker, ePS, USAccess/GSA, PIPS/CVS, NP2 Portal, NBIS/eAPP, USA Staffing, NFC systems, and EmpowHR • Knowledge of personnel security vetting, investigations, reinvestigations, reciprocity determinations, adjudication support, drug testing, suitability evaluations, and fingerprint processing • Knowledge of Public Trust and National Security positions and federal investigative standards • Ability to review SF-85, SF-85P, and SF-86 submissions • Ability to manage case processing within eAPP • Knowledge of federal regulations, SOPs, contract requirements, Privacy Act, and data protection policies • Subject matter expertise in security or intelligence disciplines • Ability to protect personally identifiable information and safeguard government property
