📋 Description

• Research requirements and secure permits for utility pole attachments, railroad crossings, and federal, state, county, and local authorities • Prepare applications, negotiate and submit fees, expedite rights, and update and close out records, GIS databases, and maps • Conduct occasional field work and travel • Scope and estimate work and create tasks • Coordinate with professional service vendors to obtain data and studies • Research local requirements and prepare, negotiate, execute, notarize, record, and maintain easements and right-of-entry agreements • Assist with lease negotiations, alerts, payments, W9 issues, location issues, ownership changes, records research, phone calls, and document preparation • Interface with internal teams, contractors, customers, property owners, government permit authorities, utilities, and railroads • Assist with special projects, initiatives, operations, vendor and risk management, metrics, reports, scheduling, communications, research, and customer service

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree (or higher) –OR- 2+ years professional work experience • 3+ years experience in Voice, Data, or Video networking –OR- 6+ months TDS Telecom technical internship experience • Demonstrated experience in permitting • Technical knowledge of Real Estate Law, Land Surveying, Project Management, GIS, Telecommunications, Engineering, and Construction is desirable • Ability to learn and comprehend complex work, assignments, documents, standards, plans, and maps • Ability to manage, schedule, resource, track, update, report, expedite, complete, and close out multiple tasks simultaneously • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Excel, and Word • ESRI GIS Software skills, Python scripting, complex queries, tools, and maps are desirable • OneNote, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Clarity, Ariba, SAP, and AutoCAD skills are a plus
