📋 Description

• Gather customer requirements and translate functional requirements into technical solutions • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable stakeholder insights • Participate in architectural discussions and design reliable, secure, scalable, efficient, and cost-optimized data engineering solutions • Design and implement Microsoft Fabric data platform architectures using OneLake, Lakehouse, Fabric Data Factory, Synapse Data Engineering, and Data Warehousing • Develop scalable batch and streaming data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines using Fabric-native tools and Azure services • Design Lakehouse and Warehouse models using medallion architecture and dimensional modeling best practices • Integrate Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, SQL MI, and optionally Databricks • Build Power BI semantic models and reports integrated with Fabric • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards • Lead POD/team delivery and ensure high-quality, timely execution • Mentor junior engineers and conduct knowledge-sharing sessions • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming • Serve as technical point of contact for stakeholders and clients • Contribute to solution accelerators, reusable frameworks, prototypes, emerging-tool evaluations, and pre-sales activities • Support Sales and Pre-Sales partners through technical thought leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 8 or more years of experience in Data Engineering • At least 3 or more years in the Azure ecosystem • Strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake and Lakehouse architecture, Data Factory in Fabric, Synapse Data Engineering/Data Warehousing, and Power BI integration with Fabric • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and Spark-based processing • Strong experience building batch and streaming data pipelines • Expertise in star/snowflake schemas and medallion architecture • Experience with Azure Data Factory/Synapse Pipelines, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, and SQL MI • Experience in CI/CD, version control, and DevOps practices • Understanding of data governance, security, access control, RBAC, IAM, and encryption • Experience working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills • Ability to work cross-functionally with product managers, business stakeholders, and engineering teams • Passion for current cloud and AI/ML technologies and ability to evaluate and adopt emerging tools • Microsoft certifications such as Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate, Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Azure AI Engineer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred • Experience with Databricks or Synapse Spark pools preferred • Familiarity with real-time analytics and streaming architecture preferred • Exposure to Purview or equivalent data governance tools preferred • Experience building enterprise-scale data platforms preferred • Up to 50% travel to customer sites as project needs require
