📋 Description

• Oversee professional staff managing, coordinating, and implementing Charge Description Master (CDM) and charge capture initiatives and processes • Provide senior leadership and interact with internal and external executive-level staff • Facilitate CDM and charge capture education • Ensure adherence to government and non-government regulatory directives and establish controls for audits and reviews • Facilitate revenue management communications and information flow • Oversee accurate and timely patient accounting system changes and updates to support data integrity and claims processing • Ensure quality reviews identify and minimize system errors • Plan revenue management strategies using data and report analyses • Prepare and administer the annual budget and maintain budgetary controls • Serve as a resource and consultant to customers and collaborate with internal departments • Manage a professional team evaluating, planning, implementing, and reporting revenue management strategies • Evaluate and maintain workflow processes for efficiency across the revenue cycle • Research and interpret regulatory guidance, billing and coding changes, and managed care contracts • Provide incident management, problem resolution, and enterprise-wide solutions • Oversee special projects including new clients, system conversions, acquisitions, departments, service lines, regulatory changes, and legal reviews • Oversee strategic pricing initiatives and conduct financial analyses • Manage CDM and charge capture corrective measures and monitoring tools • Review statistics and key performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities and ensure compliance • Interview, hire, train, assign, direct, and appraise employees; address complaints and resolve problems

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher; related experience may be considered in lieu of degree • Prior supervisory experience required • Minimum of five years healthcare-related experience required • Working knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to the healthcare industry required • Prior healthcare financial experience or related field experience in a hospital/integrated healthcare delivery system required • Prior CDM or charge capture experience required • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills • Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely to executives, management, facility groups, and individuals • Ability to respond professionally to complex inquiries • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions, and make recommendations • Understanding of external and internal drivers affecting revenue management • Ability to analyze state and federal regulatory information, managed care contracts, claims production systems, patient accounting systems, clinical/order entry systems, ancillary systems, and CDM • Ability to research published resources, reference materials, Internet resources, seminars, and related information sources • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint • Applicable clinical or professional certifications and licenses such as LVN, RN, RT, MT, RPH, CPC-H, and CCS highly desirable • Ability to sit for long periods, use hands and fingers, reach, talk, and hear • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds • Some travel required
