📋 Description

• Serve as the primary hub aligning Business Development, Marketing, Engineering, and Executive Leadership • Collect market feedback from Business Development and clients • Translate marketing vision and design philosophies into clear engineering context • Ensure outward-facing marketing materials accurately reflect software and hardware capabilities • Own and maintain product roadmaps and backlogs across cloud software, hardware, edge, and hardware/autonomy integrations • Engage end users and customers to identify pervasive problems • Translate customer pain points into product requirements, use cases, user stories, rationale, and acceptance criteria • Preserve the intuitive UI/UX of the Absolute Ocean platform • Align engineering leadership and product management on milestones, schedules, and technical tradeoffs • Prepare data-backed trade studies and decision briefs with the VP of Product & AI • Participate in industry conferences, customer meetings, and field demonstrations • Gather firsthand market intelligence and refine product strategy • Coordinate operational media assets with marketing and test engineering teams • Align product UI palettes with company design guidelines • Run prioritization across competing stakeholder demands and recommend trade-offs to the VP • Own the product side of customer support, including HubSpot ticket workflow and knowledge base • Write release notes and customer-facing product updates • Handle day-to-day administration of product vendors and tools

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience leading B2B SaaS products • Experience with products integrating hardware/appliances, robotics, autonomous systems, or edge computing • Proven ability to translate complex customer requests into root-cause problem statements, traceable requirements, and clear acceptance criteria • Hands-on fluency with Jira, Jira Product Discovery (JPD), and Confluence • Demonstrated use of AI tools for product research, requirements development, analysis, prototyping, or product operations • Understanding of how AI-enabled features are specified, tested, and evaluated • Ability to evaluate product investments using customer value, revenue potential, strategic importance, technical effort, and opportunity cost • Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs with limited time, budget, and resources • Ability to engage directly alongside sales teams and conduct customer discovery interviews • Willingness to travel 20–30% • U.S. citizenship required • Experience with defense, intelligence, or U.S. Government acquisition and customer sets preferred • Background or familiarity with geospatial data, GIS, oceanography, bathymetry, maritime domain awareness, or remote sensing preferred • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance preferred • Experience delivering cloud-native SaaS and edge/disconnected hardware solutions preferred • Formal Product Management Training & Certification preferred
