📋 Description

• Develop procedures for regulatory oversight necessary to support the Kemmerer Unit 1 project and other Natrium units • Provide inspection oversight of Natrium unit construction using knowledge of U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission regulations and inspection procedures • Review USO and TerraPower quality assurance programs for applicable requirements and commitments • Conduct supplier oversight to ensure readiness for NRC inspections • Identify issues of concern, communicate with team members and management, and recommend regulatory paths to resolve issues • Lead scheduling for oversight and inspection activities • Track and analyze trends and recommend actions to Regulatory Construction Oversight management • Support the Natrium advanced reactor project through technical inspections of Kemmerer Unit 1 and other units • Work closely with Quality Assurance, Procurement, Fabrication, and Construction organizations • Report to the Senior Manager of Regulatory Construction Oversight

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited, four-year university or equivalent experience • 10-15 years of combined experience in nuclear regulatory compliance, including 10 CFR regulations and guidance and NRC reactor inspections for operating and/or construction projects • Capability and willingness to adhere to strict quality assurance standards • Self-starter with ability to manage deadlines • Strong communication skills • High degree of trust and integrity, open communication, respect, and desire to foster teamwork • Ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds • Ability to perform sitting and/or standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control, prolonged repetitive work, visual and audio focused work, stairs, typing/keyboard, sitting and/or walking, and climbing working environment of >8 hrs./day • 15-30% travel required • U.S. Government export-control review requirements apply to foreign nationals; applicants must identify whether they are a U.S. Citizen or national, asylee, refugee, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
