📋 Description

• Lead the shared services Accounts Payable team and partner with the Senior Director, Accounting Operations • Define, deliver, and continuously improve Accounts Payable shared services across the Company • Oversee day-to-day AP operations, including reviewing, posting, weekly disbursements, aging reports, and related controls • Intake, escalate, triage, and resolve vendor payments, billings, contracts, and issues, including executive-level communication • Provide AP and disbursement guidance and direction to AP team members in a high-volume environment • Ensure accurate and timely completion of work • Hire, train, develop, schedule, and manage performance of AP team members • Prepare documentation and provide semi-annual and annual performance feedback • Research and resolve process challenges and defects with leadership and the team • Collaborate with the ERP team to design and implement efficiency-focused processes • Respond to vendors and internal managers regarding invoice coding, payment processing, and inquiries • Manage AP and T&E payment processes through Concur and coordinate with Treasury on cash-flow projections • Follow company processes, controls, and policies in a SOX-compliant environment • Complete vendor and GL account reconciliations • Participate in month-end close and assign team responsibilities to meet deadlines • Document policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure compliance • Participate in quarterly external audits • Resolve internal AP deficiencies and meet deadlines • Maintain confidentiality and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor / A.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience • Deep knowledge of Accounts Payable processes • 3+ years of experience in a high-volume accounts payable environment completing 3-way match and PO-driven purchasing • 1–3 years of direct people leadership experience, including coaching and developing Accounts Payable team members in a high-volume environment • Experience analyzing, identifying, recommending, and executing data-based solutions • Experience preparing management reports, developing procedures, leading meetings, and conducting training sessions • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and related Microsoft applications • Intermediate Excel skills required • Experience leading ERP projects within the full-cycle accounts payable workflow • Experience with large manufacturing ERPs such as SAP or EPICOR preferred • Ability to recommend improvements to existing processes • Excellent organization and time-management skills • Ability to multitask, meet firm deadlines, proactively prioritize needs, and manage priorities • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with employees and management in person and through virtual communication • Solid understanding of GAAP, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements • Openness to change and willingness to learn new skills • Accuracy and attention to detail • Self-starter and forward-looking mindset • Background check required
