📋 Description

• Own the development and sustainment of authoritative Army logistics data products • Lead and directly supervise a team of data engineers and data scientists • Remain hands-on with data architecture, pipeline development, ontology, code review, and troubleshooting • Establish engineering standards for quality, lineage, testing, source control, deployment, monitoring, and documentation • Translate logistics needs with government stakeholders into technical priorities and deliverable capabilities • Ensure data products are reliable, traceable, secure, and suitable for operational use • Develop engineers through technical direction, mentoring, feedback, and performance management • Provide trusted data foundations for downstream analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine-learning use cases

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, data science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience • Ten or more years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, data architecture, or enterprise data delivery • Demonstrated experience managing or directly supervising technical professionals • Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and modern data-engineering practices • Experience building production data pipelines and data products using Palantir Foundry, Army Vantage, or a comparable enterprise data platform • Experience with data modeling, ontology development, data integration, and data-quality management • Strong software-engineering fundamentals, including testing, source control, CI/CD, and production monitoring • Experience supporting a Department of Defense customer • Strong customer-facing and executive communication skills • Active Secret clearance required • Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance • Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
