📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end human-centered design activities for new technical solutions, major enhancements, and redesign efforts • Translate stakeholder and user needs into intuitive, usable, accessible, and technically feasible digital experiences • Design Microsoft Power Platform applications and dashboards, SharePoint sites and solutions, analytics products, workflow tools, and other enterprise digital platforms • Develop information architectures, navigation structures, user flows, task flows, process flows, and interaction models • Create low-, medium-, and high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, clickable prototypes, and design concepts • Develop design specifications and developer handoff materials • Partner with developers, solution architects, analysts, product owners, and technical leads • Review implemented solutions against approved designs and user experience requirements • Plan and conduct stakeholder and user interviews, discovery sessions, contextual inquiry, workshops, usability testing, and qualitative research • Synthesize findings into themes, insights, design principles, user needs, and actionable recommendations • Develop personas, journey maps, experience maps, service blueprints, workflows, and other HCD artifacts • Validate and iterate designs based on research, technical considerations, accessibility requirements, and user feedback • Contribute to or lead Magnify Reports and document stakeholder needs, findings, opportunities, recommendations, and design approaches • Create executive-ready presentations and visual artifacts for VA and LMI stakeholders • Incorporate Section 508, WCAG, accessibility, and inclusive-design principles • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and facilitate design sessions, reviews, and working sessions • Participate in LMI's HCD community of practice and share methods, templates, lessons learned, and reusable assets • Work within Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery environments

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Centered Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UX Design, Information Design, Psychology, Information Systems, or a related field • 7+ years of experience in human-centered design, UX design, product design, service design, interaction design, or a related discipline • Demonstrated experience independently leading complex digital product or enterprise-technology design efforts • Strong experience conducting stakeholder and user research and translating findings into actionable design recommendations • Demonstrated ability to develop wireframes, user flows, information architectures, journey maps, interactive prototypes, and detailed design specifications • Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure, Miro, or comparable tools • Experience working collaboratively with software developers, architects, analysts, and technical teams • Technical fluency sufficient to design solutions within enterprise platforms and communicate effectively with development teams • Understanding of Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, enterprise dashboards, data visualization, workflow systems, or comparable technologies • Knowledge of Section 508, WCAG, accessibility, and inclusive-design principles • Excellent stakeholder interviewing, facilitation, presentation, and communication skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent design and research activities • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • Desired: Master's degree, portfolio, federal healthcare or VA experience, Microsoft 365-based experience, federal digital modernization experience, service design/systems thinking/Lean UX/Design Thinking/Agile product development experience, formal government HCD deliverables experience, and relevant certifications
