📋 Description

• Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of complex CICS infrastructure solutions supporting enterprise business objectives • Provide technical leadership for large-scale mainframe initiatives from strategy through execution • Build, support, and continuously improve highly available CICS environments • Partner with application development teams and infrastructure stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend approaches that improve performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency • Diagnose complex infrastructure and application issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions • Install, configure, maintain, and optimize CICS and associated system software products • Provide expertise in CICSPlex System Manager (CPSM), DB2 Data Sharing, MQ Shared Queue Managers, REXX, and z/OS • Provide guidance and consultation to a large and diverse application development organization • Participate in an on-call rotation and support high-priority production events as needed

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of CICS Systems Programming experience in enterprise mainframe environments • Advanced knowledge of CICS architecture, internals, administration, and performance tuning • Strong experience supporting and managing CICSPlex environments • Hands-on experience with z/OS, DB2 Data Sharing, MQ Shared Queue Managers, and REXX • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex system and application issues and implement effective solutions • Experience leading technical initiatives and coordinating efforts across multiple teams • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences • Ability to work independently and contribute within large, cross-functional teams • Ability to support a 24x7 production environment, including scheduled on-call responsibilities • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) • Master-level expertise with CICSPlex and related OEM products (preferred) • Experience influencing infrastructure strategy and technology roadmaps (preferred) • Prior experience as a technical consultant or advisor for large-scale enterprise environments (preferred) • Strong strategic thinking skills focused on continuous improvement, innovation, and business outcomes (preferred)
