📋 Description

• Manage and monitor commodity inbound shipments across the U.S. • Ensure on-time pickups and deliveries according to service-level agreements • Analyze shipment data to improve routing, carrier utilization, and load planning • Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments • Resolve transportation service issues • Track and report transportation KPIs • Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement • Liaise between transportation, material management, and plants • Proactively address shipment concerns and maintain customer satisfaction • Support operational efficiency and strategic supply chain goals

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field • 1+ years of experience in transportation or logistics • Practical expertise with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), ERP platforms, and shipment tracking tools preferred • Familiarity with truck, intermodal, rail, and bulk shipping freight modes • Knowledge of freight modes, transportation regulations, supply chain operations, and TMS or ERP systems • Strong analytical and reporting skills • Proficiency with Excel • Effective communication with carriers and internal and external stakeholders • Ability to coordinate complex shipments under tight deadlines • Ability to build strong relationships • Ability to identify process improvements • Ability to adapt to seasonal demand or unexpected challenges • Professional certifications considered a plus
