📋 Description

• Perform customer installations, repairs, qualifications, upgrades, updates, and preventative maintenance on Thermo Fisher instruments • Work with diagnostic labs, universities, hospitals, research labs, forensic labs, pharmaceutical, and biotech customers • Resolve customer technical issues and identify workflow improvement opportunities • Perform onsite instrument services within an assigned territory • Help achieve revenue targets through repairs, installations, qualifications, and preventive maintenance • Offer and close sales of service contracts and other service products • Collaborate with internal partners to resolve customer issues and improve processes • Complete Remote Service Dispatch, Escalation Issue Process, Field Problem Report, and Field Service Report submissions • Maintain accurate spare-parts inventory and process RMA parts and unused inventory • Perform qualification and validation protocols at customer sites • Maintain technical competency through training, staff meetings, and product and market updates • Travel by automobile to customer sites daily, with occasional airline travel and overnight stays • Perform administrative duties at home • Complete additional related duties or projects as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, biology, chemistry, or related field; relevant military experience will also be considered • Experience in a clinical, diagnostics lab and/or other regulated environment preferred • Interest in learning and understanding IT systems and processes • Experience with R/T PCR and other related molecular equipment preferred • Electro-mechanical skills and knowledge of hand tools and basic test equipment • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively • Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently • Self-starter requiring minimal guidance • Willingness to change schedule as priorities change • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required • Available for occasional weekend support • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods • Must adhere to required PPE and laboratory safety protocols • Must be available for overtime, flexible shifts, and occasional weekend/holiday on-call rotations
