📋 Description

• Install, perform preventive maintenance on, troubleshoot, and repair Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry equipment at customer laboratories • Manage personal parts inventories and complete service tasks • Complete service reports using service ticket management software • Train customers on equipment and software • Provide communication between customers and the company to ensure effective service • Attend factory-provided technical and service training • Work with Service and Sales teams • Review customer data and run factory protocols to troubleshoot instrumentation • Share diagnostic information with engineering, factory, field service, management, and other personnel to expedite repairs • Complete service reports, expense reports, and other administrative tasks accurately and on time • Travel up to 75% within the designated territory, primarily San Francisco through Monterey, with occasional East Bay coverage

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related technical field • 2+ years of hands-on technical experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing Chromatography or Mass Spectrometer equipment • Strong electronics and mechanical troubleshooting skills, including component-level diagnosis • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics • Experience with ultra-high vacuum systems and high voltage equipment preferred • Experience documenting service activities and preparing detailed reports • Ability to train and support customers with equipment operation • Adherence to safety protocols and quality standards • Demonstrated success in meeting customer satisfaction goals • Excellent written and verbal customer service and communication skills • Strong organizational and time management capabilities • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and service management software • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various laboratory environments • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen • Must have a valid driver's license
