📋 Description

• Conduct rigorous legal research and analysis of authorities, monitoring new case law, legislation, and legal developments • Draft, review, and edit legal commentary and practical guidance for the Witkin Library and Rutter Group Practice Guides • Ensure content accuracy, clarity, editorial consistency, and compliance with publishing standards • Collaborate with outside authors and internal partners to gather insights and ensure seamless content production • Support content innovation by testing and validating AI solutions, including gold data creation and model output evaluation • Manage and prioritize work under demanding deadlines and publishing schedules • Communicate clearly with stakeholders • Maintain understanding of the legal market, customer needs, and competitor offerings to ensure content relevance

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree • Active admission to the California Bar is mandatory • Minimum of 6 years of experience practicing law in California • Deep understanding of California legal practice and procedures • Superior legal research, writing, and analytical skills • Ability to interpret, analyze, and distill complex legal material into clear, concise, accurate content • Exceptional editorial judgment and meticulous attention to detail • Ability to adapt quickly to new fields of law and critically evaluate content for accuracy and completeness • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Legal publishing experience as an author or editor preferred • Proficiency in Westlaw and Microsoft Office 365 preferred • Experience with content management systems or similar publishing tools preferred
