📋 Description

• Supporting the Suitability product team within the Legal and Compliance Portfolio • Serving as the day-to-day technical lead for a team focused on compliance and regulatory checks • Providing technical guidance and removing blockers by addressing engineering challenges • Ensuring solutions align with business needs, regulatory expectations, and long-term technology strategy • Partnering closely with Product Owner, Staff Engineer, Portfolio Architect • Evaluating design options, shaping solution approaches, and supporting delivery of business-critical software solutions • Advancing engineering practices across the team and broader portfolio • Promoting automation, cloud-hosted solutions, AI-enabled tools, code modernization, test automation, and vulnerability management • Defining and tracking engineering improvement metrics, driving adherence to standards, and identifying opportunities to improve speed, efficiency, and quality

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical field or equivalent work experience • 7+ years of experience in engineering environments • 7+ years in Java, spring framework • 5+ years leveraging database platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo) • 3+ years with event driven and microservices design • 3+ years of data analysis, business rules, new data sourcing discovery • 3+ years using GitHub, DevOps practices, and tools • 2+ years using Openshift, event driven technologies (Kafka, Rabbit) • Sound knowledge of industry standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) practices • Sound knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures • Sound knowledge of systems design concepts that provide security and stability • Expertise in debugging code and/or complex log files for troubleshooting and analysis of product defects • Expert knowledge/experience with querying databases for complex data lookup/update • Perform code reviews with associate team members
