• Lead and manage efforts to promote safe and compliant practices within the Corporate Health & Safety Department • Provide safety expertise and risk recognition/reduction skills in construction • Drive proactive safe work practices using prevention and mitigation techniques • Maintain current knowledge of industry safety trends and practices • Identify and implement company best practices and continuously improve safety practices • Manage the safety region to eliminate occupational injuries and illnesses • Assist with development and implementation of safety training programs, policies and procedures • Compile, analyze and interpret occupational illness and accident data and prepare reports • Prepare regional incident reports and coordinate dissemination, review and recommended actions • Submit reports required by company management and regulatory agencies, including OSHA • Perform comprehensive EHS facility and field audits • Create corrective action plans and partner with operations on deliverables • Facilitate completion and closure of corrective action plans • Serve as subject matter expert on corporate and governmental regulatory issues • Conduct and facilitate field and facility safety meetings and training • Train and develop regional resources on construction safety • Investigate injuries and incidents and develop root cause analyses and corrective action plans • Document injury and incident scenarios and causes in the company EHS information system • Communicate incident scenarios and root and contributing causes to the organization • Manage OSHA citations and investigations within the assigned region • Analyze metrics and review monthly incidents to identify trends and align resources • Audit data collection and reporting practices for compliance with federal and state regulations
• Candidates must reside in Colorado, Utah, Nevada, New Mexico or Arizona • Primary residence must be maintained in the assigned territory • Availability to travel up to 50% throughout the designated multi-state territory • At least 18 years of age • 5+ years’ experience • Experience with OSHA/EPA/DOT regulations and safety administration in a transportation, construction, distribution, general industry or warehousing environment • Proficient in OSHA & EPA Regulations, State and Federal laws • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint • Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), preferred • Associate Safety Professional (ASP), preferred • Construction Health Safety Technician (CHST), preferred
